The one and only aftermarket R6 head light that has been tested in a photometric laboratory to meet and exceed SAE/DOT requirements for Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) 108 for motorcycle lighting. Don't be fooled into purchasing head lights that are not DOT approved or 'for off-road using only'. Those head lights have the incorrect focus on the beams and scatter the light everywhere, which may blind oncoming traffic and/or cause unsafe riding conditions.*

The LED DRL Hookup Harness is available for this model.Ā Required for R6 models that only have 2 wire front turn signals (no support for DRL). So far, these markets affected: European (All), Japan, Australia, and Russia.
This harness is required for non-USA model Yamaha R6 that do not support Daytime Running Lights (DRL) on the front turn signals. This is used to enable LED DRLs (light bars) on the Motodynamic full LED projector head lights for the 2008-2016 Yamaha R6.
To determine if you have this model
1) Front turn signals do NOT turn on when bike is on, they only flash when turn signals are activated. These turn signals have 2-wire plugs
2) Front LED pilot light (small light below windscreen) is enabled, it will turn on when the bike is on
